One of the Filipino culture is to celebrate important events and memories that mean so much to us like birthdays, anniversary, monthsarry, finishing a degree or course, farewell or despidas, passing an exam, promotion at work. We loved to cook our native foods, recipes we learned from our ancestors in different regions around Philippines. There is nothing delicious from the fruits and vegetables we used to eat from our Pearl of the Orient, Pilipinas.
Aside from foods we used to treat our illnesses with products from the Philippines that our family is getting used to, like liniments, oils, soaps, beauty products and supplements. In this article I’ll be walking you through Filipino Stores located around Jeddah, Saudi Arabia selling Philippine products.
Here are the few list we have visited:

Rare food items I found in kabayan, banana leaves, steamed frozen saba (banana), frozen ube (purple yam), frozen shredded young coconut (makapuno), fresh matured coconut ( can be shredded with machine inside the store), Tufu (Tokwa), mungbean sprouts (togue), dried fish (TUYO), Maggie magic sarap, spaghetti sauce Filipino Style, fish sardines made from the philippines, tender juicy hotdog, frozen kakanins like suman, ibos, frozen lumpia ready to fry, frozen loganiza, halo-halo mix, fresh fish and many to mention.
Some of us got muscle pains after long hours of work, variety of muscle pain killers and liniments is a good picks at KABAYAN like efficascent oil, Omega pain Killer, Katingko, Tiger Balm. We can not avoid getting colds and flu especially when our immune system becomes low because of not getting enough sleep, a vicks vapor rub can clear the congection in our upper respiratory tract ( haplos ng pagmamahal as our LOLA say).

Some of the fruits and vegetables like Calamansi, Guyabano, Philippine Bananas, Mangoes, pineapples and avocado are my favorites, papaya, dried laing leaves, radish and gabi roots are also in the row.

LuLu Hypermarket in Jeddah is a retail division of LuLu Group International with 233 retailing stores and is immensely popular with the discerning shoppers across the Gulf region. LuLu offers a variation of supermarket items by integrating all conceivable needs of the consumers under one roof. The first Lulu Hypermarket was opened last December 2017 At Al Marwah- Jeddah, KSA. There are variety of Filipino foods, fruits, vegetables and frozen products displayed on this store. Some of which are shown on the sample brochures below.
There are other Mini Stores selling Filipino products in Jeddah Like El- Gusto market at Balad, Corniche, Filipino Mini Market at Khalidya, Mini Markets fronting Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Mini Markets nearby Erfan Hospital.
