Any medical or health practitioner in Saudi Arabia needs to apply a license to Saudi Council for Health Specialties in order to practice legally, SCFHS is a government body that regulates health profession with the goal to have a healthy citizen. If your are an expat practicing in the kingdom, the new regulation by the Mumaris + platform is the renewal of license every 2 years provided your comply the following requirements.
Requirements for Saudi Council renewal for nurses and midwives:
- Updated resident certificate or IQAMA
- Updated passport (prepare a pdf or jpeg, ping file not more then 2mb)
- Updated PRC license (preapre a pdf, jpeg, ping file not more than 2 mb)
- Data flow verification for School Credentials Bachelors degree, Master’s degree & PhD (optional if your are applying for consultant) or updating your position
- Data Flow Verification for PRC license
- Data flow Employment certificate (optional)
- Employment Certificate ( previous employer if your were transferred to new employer, working less than 2 years) (optional)
- Employment Certificate (current employer)
- Required CME for nursing technician & midwives and nursing Assistants 20 CME
- Required CME for nursing specialty 30 CME
Steps:
- Log in to Mumaris Plus+ using your registered email and password
- On the Left Side Click MY SERVICES
- Click I want to renew my Professional Registration or click start re- registration
- Click Apply Now: Note: You can not proceed for renewal if your license is still active more than 3 months. You may only renew it before 3 months of expiry.
- After Clicking Apply, You will be asked if your have CPD & gap of employment less than 2 years, Click Yes in both provided your have required CME & working gap no more than 2 years and click NEXT.
- Agree on the terms and conditions by answering all declaration questions (read carefully)
- Click Apply for service
- Edit Personal Informations such as your iqama, passport, address and mobile number.
- if, your are a returning practitioner edit your iqama number by confirming your birthday on the options provided, upload your iqama file not more than 2mb.
- Update your passport expiry on the options provided, upload your passport file not more than 2mb.
- Check if your have photo on your profile, if your dont have your can upload your passport size photo.
9. If all information s are correct or after editing click SAVE.
10. Click go to work experience
11. Fill out your PRC license expiry on the options, upload your updated PRC file not more than 2MB, upload data flow verification.
12. Fill out your work experience both prevoius and current work experience, upload your certificates not more than 2 MB
13. Check that all information s are correct and click Go to applications details. Note if your have missing documents and your’re not ready, your can click SAVE and Continue later
14. Check your application summary, if all are correct your can click submit the application
15. Pay the necessary Fees by using your credit card or initiate sadad reference number, up to your choice of payment
16 After payment, SCFHS will send your an email of acknowledgement of your application and they will respond in 5 business days.
Note: Some applications takes only hours , days depending on the circumstance. SCFHS will reply as sson as possible.
In cases of missing documents, your can comply it by logging into your account and upload some missing documents that they require from your side. Any difficulty your can further message our face book page for a detailed guidelines.
FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER
• Read carefully the professional classification and registration regulations bylaws at SCFHS website.
• Ensure that your have no gap in your professional practice before applying. If your have been out of practice for two consecutive years or more, please apply for issuing a training letter service.
• In case your did not complete the application requirements within 30 days of submission, the application will be closed.

Good pm. Am a nurse technician before then I end my contract last September 2021. For now I have more than 1 year work gap and my license is expired. I applied again in same hospital and advice me to take prometric exam. I took and passed the prometric exam as a nurse specialist. Is there a possibility to renew my license here in Philippines? Because according to the agency new Saudi law is no longer accepting expired license

Mostly even your license expires after a year if your gap of experience (saudi to saudi) is not more than 2 years you can apply for new registration without taking an exam. If you have a gap of more than 2 years (saudi to saudi), even you have an experience outside the kingdom, they will ask you to reclassify and take an exam. Hi, appreciate you contacting with us. After Prometric Exam you must apply for registration in the Mumaris Plus service to get registered and print your licensed. The requirements for registration are: Saudi iqama, identification letter from your current employer in Saudi arabia or Certificate of employment that you are employed here. If you are outside the kingdom it is impossible to register as this is the problem now for the new policy imposed by the Saudi embassy for visa stamping. If your Saudi council was expired last 2019 and you are outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you should apply for reclassification. If you are here in Saudi Arabia working as a practitioner, you may apply for registration not re-registration provided no gap of experience in the current 2 years of practice. 2. My data flow showed my license is “till date”, I have “Retention of Name” valid until 2025. But my hospital asked to repeat the data flow again. They said my license is expired. Are they right?
Good day, first of all, are you in KSA or outside the kingdom? In cases that that you are outside KSA you cannot apply for re-registration, one of the requirement is your recent identification letter or certificate of employment that you are currently working in KSA. If you are now working in KSA you can apply for re-registration. Take note that after one year of Saudi council expiry, if you are a nurse technician they may ask you to apply for reclassification which means you will take a Prometric exam. Hope it helps.
