Professional Classification
1. What is the difference between Registration, Classification, Qualification Study and Certificate Recognition?
Professional Classification: This service will grant health practitioner which degree they will be qualified after studying, authenticating and evaluationg qualifications and experiences. This is the first step for a practitioner to be given an eligbilty for prometric exam and register to the council. You can apply to this service outside the kindom of Saudi Arabia using you passport number via mumaris plus platform.
Professional Registration Service:. After approval of classification and taking prometric exam your records or data will be saved in the Commission database. This is the final service, so that the healthcare practitioner can practice the profession regularly in the Kingdom. It requires a lawful residence or iqama, you should have an employer in the kingdom to be registerd The validity of the Registration is two years. You can also apply for Professional registration if your license expire after 1 year and you dont have more than 2 years working gap, kingdom experience.
Recognition Decision: It is the acceptance of a qualifying program of no less than one academic year, obtained by the practitioner and based on its approval by bodies acceptable to the Commission.
Qualification Study: It is the study of the healthcare qualification by the competent councils and committees in the event that the qualification is not among the approved qualifications and is not included in the list of qualifications on Mumaris Plus.
2. What is the difference between Professional Classification and Professional Re-Classification?
Professional Classification: the first legal step before registering as a healthcare practitioner in SCFHS. It means you are not registered before in SAudi Council, you are a forst timer registrants.
Re-Classification: If you are an expatriate and went for final exit, experience outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, returning to practice, this is the correct service for you provided you should verify your certificate of experience through dataflow verification. If you are applying for promotion or you want to modify your classification from technician to specialist and consultant.
Note: If your license expired more than 1 year and your working gap or experience in Saudi arabia is not more than 2 years you may need not to get an exam, you can apply for Professional registration, case to case basis, but if you verify that you practice outside the kingdom the commission will let you take the exam.
3. Is volunteering experience acceptable
Yes, voluntarily experience is accepted if it is in the same specialty and authenticated by a reference body acceptable to the SCFHS and in a way that makes it equal to the actual Professional practice.So Volunteer staff nurse is accepted as an experience letter.
4. What are the conditions required to be provided in a job identification letter?
A job identification letter is your Certificate of experience from previous or current employer. It includes the specialty, degree, date of commencement and date of issuance, signed and stamped by the personnel affairs, and issued since no more than 3 months for the current employer.
5. I would like to renew the registration, as it has been more than a year since the expiry of my registration and I have not stopped practicing the profession. What is the correct service for that?
If the experience is from inside the Kingdom, and the gap of experience is not more than 2 years, you can apply for the (Professional Registration) service. In the event that the experience is from outside the Kingdom, you need to apply for the (professional re-classification) service and should take prometric exam and apply for new registration.
6. What are the Required CME units for nurse technician & nurse specialist for mumaris renewal?
Nurse technician required CME Units is 20 CPD, Nurse specialist is 30 CME Units, for Midwifery technician 20 CME units for Dentistry 60 CME unit
7. What is Tawasul in Mumaris Plus?
Tawasul system is a system specialized in submitting inquiries, complaints, and suggestions, following up on requests and technical support, in an electronic form without the need to visit the SCFHS headquarters. The application must be submitted by the practitioner and the beneficiary himself and he will be responsible for the information included and any error in the information will lead to the rejection of the application.This is a technical support which answers your questions than can’t be answered by the hotline.

Hi, thank you for reaching us. As per policy, a minimum of 2 years working experience in your field of qualification is required after graduation. If you had any experience before 2022 if will be considered, provided the gap of experience is not more than 2 years.

Hello good day i just want to ask regarding my case im a registered midwife work i. Ksa for more than 7 years so heres my story way back 2014 i apply for classification and took the exam and pass it, fast forward 2015-2017 i started work but 2017 i go exit and my employer didn’t process my license,so i go back to Riyadh 2017 my my employer started to process it, but unfortunately my previous employer gave an coe which indicate staff nure” which i didn’t know it was not acceptable and make it huge trouble to my application fast forward 2019 I received letter from SCFHS indicating that my application is rejected due to that coe which I submitted, so I need to back to ph to acquire coe which is not less than 3mos ,unfortunately due to pandemic and still i have contact i didn’t go exit and work them until 2023 so,now i am here in Philippine and trying to. Apply go back in ksa i submit my coe from saudi but they reply I needed to submit not less than 1 year coe which contrary to the letter they send it before, question will i need ti attached the letter from them and give 3mos coe or what? Hope someone will help me regarding this

I have a concern regarding applying for eligibility number in mumaris, i have a local COE from 2015-july 2022, then i work in saudi last sept. 14,2022 to sept 2, 2022 but during that employment i havent taken the prometric exam. So now i am applying again in saudi, i started my dataflow with my license, education including my local COE, my concern is that the licensing agency told me that there is a possibility that i cannot get eligibility number due to work gap because my COE in saudi will not be included since i am not licensed at that time.
